We stock affordable and easy to install locking mechanisms, including deadlocks, hook-and-slam locks, double action locks and electric striker kits for swing, slide, electric and trellis security gate locks, as well as brass and iron padlocks for everyday use. The Small Ultra Lock is the most popular swing security gate lock in South Africa, and operates with a 38 mm internal iron padlock. The Large Ultra Locks and E-Locks are also very popular products and are used extensively in the security gate market.

These systems include top-hanging and bottom-rolling mechanisms for indoor and outdoor use, and offer straight sliding, sliding/folding, sliding/stacking and specialty sliding door designs. Note that these systems comprise the doors’ sliding mechanisms only and do not include any doors.

Ornamental castings are used by municipalities for decorative lamp posts, clock posts, handrails and sign posts. Although our Hyper Steel & Palisade branded welding electrodes are classified as a general purpose electrode (E6013), these welding rods do weld our cast iron ornamental castings onto mild steel, saving you time and money.

This impressive selection includes Timbermate, Timberlock, 300 Series and Jet-in screws, as well as Speed Drill and Self Drill drive heads, M-bolts, roof fasteners, Safe-Fix anchors, washers, colour caps, Starcraft drill bits, Polyfixers and accessories; each of which includes a variety of models, sizes and subtypes.

Screws vary from square drives with double countersunk heads to washer-faced hex heads, and are available with saw-tooth, self-cutting and self-drilling points. Sliding gate wheel kits
Hyper Steel & Palisade’s selection of choice DIY products includes steel wheel kits with anti-scuff brackets. These products facilitate the easy and silent operation of automated sliding gates by eliminating the otherwise inevitable friction which leads to squeaking. As a result, the motor, rack, and pinion are spared a significant amount of wear, allowing you to enjoy the benefits of a thoroughly effective, maintenance-free device.
The V-groove wheels come in various sizes: 40 mm, 60 mm, 80 mm and 100 mm. Since these wheels get a lot of use, it pays to select premium wheels; premium V-groove wheels with sealed bearings will last the lifetime of any gate. The wheels are placed in the brackets, and ride on an angle iron track with the corner facing up. The bracket has some additional skirting welded on the bottom to prevent feet from being run over. This additional skirting is not a requirement but it is recommended, especially for households or institutions dealing with small children.
All our wheel kit products are made of high quality steels and are engineered for easy installation and silent operation. Sliding gate wheel kits include PVC guides, wheels, and bearings. The bearings are made of bearing steel as opposed to carbon steel, and have two rubber seals (2RS) that make them far more effective at keeping dust and water out than ZZ bearings with two dust shields.
